About

A Pokémon collector who buys collections in Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky

Crown Collectibles is a one-person Pokémon-focused buying desk. The same person you email is the person scanning slabs, pulling comps, photographing inventory, and writing your range.

Since Base Set era

Smiitzy

Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Pokémon card buyer — photos in, written range with recent comps out. Same person buying, listing, and reviewing cards; not a faceless storefront.

I've collected Pokémon since the Base Set era, back when holo Charizard was the playground chase and Pokémon Yellow lived in my Game Boy. Crown Collectibles grew out of buying, selling, and trading online — and wanting a cleaner way for local sellers to get a real number without cataloging every card first.

Send photos, I'll review the lot, flag anything worth a closer look, and send back a written range with the reasoning. Singles, binders, slabs, sealed, and bulk all get reviewed with the same care.

Personal collection — not for sale

Categories I keep rather than list — context for how I think about cards:

  • WOTC-era Pokémon holos
  • First-edition base set
  • Pikachu chase & promos
  • Japanese promos

Collector first

Cards are sorted, sleeved, and researched here weekly. A few pieces stay in the personal collection; the rest list through the active storefronts. Pricing reflects that lens, not a flip-and-forget mindset.

Receipts over reach

We don't run paid ads. The proof is the live feedback page on TCGplayer, Mercari, and eBay — read it before you ship a card our way.

Cincinnati grounded, nationwide capable

Based in Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky. Local handoffs when logistics fit; insured mail-in for every other U.S. ZIP — terms in writing before cards move.

From the desk

What it looks like in practice

Same desk, same sleeves, same TCGplayer market data — from intake through listing.

  • A wide grid of PSA-graded Pokémon slabs on a wooden desk for cert verification and per-slab comp review.

    Grade, verify, document

Cert numbers verified and recent solds pulled per slab — single offer covers the group, not just the chase.

  • A USPS Priority Mail Large Flat Rate box packed full with stacks of Pokémon cards for outbound insured mail-in.

    Pack for the next stop

Large lots ship in flat-rate boxes when mail-in wins — same desk that triaged the photos, same terms in writing before anything moves.

  • TCGplayer Scan iOS app matching a Pokémon card to its record showing market price, low price, and direct low.

    Price against live comps

Singles scan and match in seconds, priced against the same TCGplayer market data your offer references.

Commitments

How we operate, in writing

Four commitments in every quote thread — stable receipts you can hold us to.

  1. We flag value you might not know about

If one card is worth far more than the rest, we call it out before any offer.

  2. Every range comes in writing

You get the number, reasoning, and next steps in the same thread.

  3. No surprise lowball after review

If something changes after final review, we show you why with photos or comps.

  4. We offer on the whole lot

If we want the hits, we account for the bulk too — no cherry-picking and disappearing.
